Complete guide to using Mardon Enhanced Telemetry for iRacing
Getting Started
MTEL is a comprehensive iRacing telemetry system with real-time data capture, historical storage, and a modern desktop application.
- Windows 10/11
- iRacing subscription
- Valid MTEL beta license key
Installation
1. Download MTEL
Download the latest version from the download page. You'll need a valid beta license key.
2. Run the Installer
- Double-click
MTEL-Setup.exe - Follow the installation wizard
- Choose your installation directory
- Wait for installation to complete
3. First Launch
When you first launch MTEL, you'll be prompted to enter your beta license key:
MTEL-BETA-XXXX-XXXX
Make sure iRacing is installed before running MTEL. The app requires the iRacing SDK to function.

Usage
Starting a Session
- Launch MTEL
- Start iRacing
- Join a session (practice, qualify, or race)
- MTEL will automatically detect and connect
Using Overlay Mode
Overlay mode allows MTEL to display on top of iRacing:
- Click the overlay button in the header
- MTEL will become transparent and always-on-top
- Drag to reposition the overlay
- Click the pin icon to lock position
Customizing Your Dashboard
- Click the settings icon
- Toggle "Edit Mode"
- Drag cards to rearrange
- Resize using corner handles
- Click "Save Layout" when done
Troubleshooting
MTEL Won't Connect to iRacing
- Ensure iRacing is running and you're in a session
- Try running MTEL as administrator
- Check Windows Firewall settings
- Restart both MTEL and iRacing
No Telemetry Data Showing
- Verify you're in an active session (not in menus)
- Check that iRacing SDK is enabled
- Look for error messages in the MTEL console
Performance Issues
- Close unnecessary background applications
- Reduce the number of visible cards
- Disable animations in settings
- Update your graphics drivers
